NYDAC is happy to welcome you on its website, mailing list, or at its events, but can offer you so much more as a member!

Joining NYDAC provides you access to a variety of services and networking opportunities.  In addition, NYDAC membership dues provide graduating students in all options an invaluable introduction to New York City and our alumni network.

• The 2008/2009 alumni directory was completely redesigned and our largest yet, with a 20% increase in the number of alumni for you to network with in the New York area! This year we plan to introduce, for the first time, an electronic version.  Your membership comes with the new, larger directory, providing contact information of theatre professionals who share your alma mater.

• NYDAC welcomes everyone to check out our website!  Last year’s successful redesign of our online home allows you to update your profile, look for opportunities and post listings on our job board, connect with members in our community forums, and keep yourself up-to-date on NYDAC news and events simply by logging on to www.nydac.org.

• Last year’s Casting Director Workshop was an amazing success.  20 Actors met with four high profile casting directors – one even landed herself a role in the acclaimed revival of West Side Story and is singing and dancing to a packed theatre 6 nights a week!  This year’s event will be even better, with more one-on-one time with each of the Casting Directors.  Join NYDAC today because this incredible opportunity is made available exclusively to NYDAC Members.
  

NYDAC Membership Connects you to Old Friends:

• The Holiday Party is your annual opportunity to connect with over 50 years of alumni.  The 51st annual party in 2008 was the largest we’ve had in recent memory.  Over 130 alumni and friends from the School of Drama gathered to celebrate the holiday season in a beautiful new midtown venue.  You won’t want to miss this year’s sequel!  This annual celebration is not possible without your membership dollars.
  

• In case you have ever worried that your social calendar will not be full enough, NYDAC offers a variety of events throughout the year designed to keep you in touch with friends and colleagues.  This year will see two larger bar nights – one in the fall and one in the winter!  In addition, we continue to offer the annual favorites the Summer Picnic and Ice skating Party.
  

NYDAC Membership Helps Launch ALL Graduating Students into NYC:

• This year, NYDAC hosted the graduating Actors/MTs, Directors, Playwrights, Designers, Dramaturgs, and PTM students in their annual showcases.  They met with acclaimed director and alum, Leigh Silverman, got a backstage look at Mary Poppins on Broadway, talked Scenic Design with Scott Pask, had a tour of Hudson Scenic, and most importantly, met handfuls of School of Drama alums at the Real Life in NY Dinner series.

• NYDAC made it’s annual trip to Pittsburgh presenting three awards to stellar graduating students and helping prepare the students for their transition to NYC.
  

None of these events are possible without your membership.

NYDAC relies entirely on membership dues and tax-deductible contributions for all of its operating expenses.  We work hard to make sure your dues do the most good for the alumni community as is possible. We sincerely hope you’ll recognize how much more we can do for the community and you if you become a member today!  

NEW THIS YEAR!  Sign up for a Green membership.  NYDAC in an effort to save a few trees (and a few dollars) is offering a green membership.  As a green member, you will receive only emailed letters, invitations and communications from NYDAC.  You will also receive an electronic-only copy of the 2010 NYDAC Directory. How Do I Become A NYDAC member?

• Are you a member of the Class of 2009? Your first year is just $10!  All other memberships are only $30.

• Update your information and sign up for the green membership by going to My NYDAC Profile.

• Click here to securely submit your membership payment via credit card.

(After registering it may take a few days for your membership status to be reflected on the website. There is a lag between when the credit card information is processed and when NYDAC gets the information. We're doing our best to reduce this delay.)
