Leigh Silverman (A96) to direct stage musical version of Coraline

School of Drama Directing alum Leigh Silverman (A96) will direct a stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman's graphic novel Coraline.  Focus features released the film version this past week to rave reviews.  David Greenspan will write the book with music and lyrics by Stephin Merritt.  MCC Theatre will produce the new musical which is set to begin previews May 7, 2009 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.  Check out www.mcctheater.org for more info.
