'97 alum Lisa K. invites you to take part in the No Empty Seats campaign: see The Collective's Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me for free!
Through The Collective's No Empty Seats campaign, we are aiming to share with the widest possible audiences an event connecting history, text, current awareness, artists, and community by eliminating admission price as both as a concrete financial obstacle and more importantly a mental obstacle to exploring ideas through an artistic medium. You can literally go to SmartTix and purchase a seat for $0.
The play follows the journey of three prisoners taken hostage and is unique in that its powerful exploration of "shared humanity struggling under adversity transcends any political issues" and playwright Frank McGuinness has granted a special arrangement to produce this show. YOU can take part in the campaign in three different ways:
- BUY a full-price ticket and see the show. Purchase at: SmartTixx.
- DONATE a tax deductible 18 dollars (or any amount, but $18 = 1 seat) so we can hand someone else (a student, a theater enthusiast who has been priced out, or a first-timer who can't afford to join the dialogue) a ticket. Follow the instructions at: NO EMPTY SEATS.
- FILL A SEAT. Witness the work: this play is relevant and resonant and the actors channeling its story plumb the depth of their humanity. Order your ticket in the same way and pay nothing for it at SmartTixx.

In Lebanon, an American, an Englishman and an Irishman are abruptly taken from their work, their lives and the ones they love. Chained in a dark, isolated room there seems no escape from the enemies that terrorize them. In an absence of time they each struggle to make sense of their circumstances. How is the value of a human life measured? And is the answer enough for someone to finally be set free?
featuring: Mike Houston*, Kevin Kane* and Brian Leider

Make Theatre Accessible Mission:
It is an essential part of our mission to provide access to quality theatre for those who cannot afford to see a professional show or are not aware that such opportunities exist. We would rather share our work with an engaged audience who have not paid a dime than to have empty seats.
How you can participate:
BUY TICKETS to see our productions, or MAKE A DONATION so that someone else can. Every $18 = one seat. Our current campaign is to fill 1,000 seats this Summer through ticket sales and your donations.
Help us provide access to quality theatre with your donation:
